School profile The School of Energy and Environment (found independently in July, 2002) is one of the
secondary-level schools of Zhongyuan University of Technology, which has the most advantages and characteristics after years of development.
There are five professional departments of Building Environment and Energy Application,
Energy and Power, Safety, Environment and Water Supply and Drainage in the school. The school also has Administration Office and Student-working Office, as well as a number of provincial and university experimental
teaching and scientific research institutions. There are more than 80 stuff members at present in the school, including 1 member of the National College Professional Steering Committee, 1 member of the Professional
Evaluation Committee, 4 members of the Provincial College Professional Steering Committee, 1 Provincial Distinguished Professor, 1 Provincial Chair Professor, 1 National Government Special Allowance Expert, 1 Provincial
Government Special Allowance Expert, 2 National Excellent Teachers, 37 senior teachers, and 38 teachers with doctoral degree.
The school has made great achievements in teaching and scientific research recently
by developing its profession and subject. In terms of teaching achievements, it has won 2 special awards, 3 first prizes and 6 second prizes on the provincial level; in terms of scientific research achievements,
it has completed nearly 20 national projects, more than 40 provincial projects, more than 30 important school-enterprise cooperation projects. The school has also won more than 10 provincial scientific and technological
progress awards with more than 40 awards for scientific and technological papers. Meanwhile, more than 1100 academic journals as well as domestic-foreign papers have been published.
In recent years, the school has highly enhanced the core competitiveness and comprehensive
strength according to the scientific mind by developing its profession and subject, which lays a more solid foundation for further development of the School of Energy and Environment.
